Let's start the week with a challenge ......

Happy Monday ......

And big Hello to all you STAMPlorations fans!
Thank you to all who played along with our January challenges.  Don't forget to check back on Feb 10th to see if you are one of our lucky winners. And get ready, because there's a whole load of brand new products on their way over the next three months.  But ... we also want to let you all know that for the next couple of months we are going to do things a little bit differently here on the Blog.

You've probably heard that there's been a new addition to the STAMP family.  Sherry's gorgeous little girl ... Winter, came into the world back in December.  So in order to give Shery a little time to catch her breath after the birth, and to adjust to daily life with two little ones, as well as running the store, we're going to take a little 'Winter' break.

Instead of all the different monthly STAMPlorations challenges, there will be just one challenge each month.  It will have a theme, and as long as you follow the theme, any type of project is welcome!
We will return to our regular challenge program in May.

The rules are simple ......

  • create any type of project .... cards, mixed media, tags etc. as long as you follow the theme
  • STAMPlorations products are not a requirement .... but we would love to see them
  • Enter as many times as you like as long as each entry has it's own blog post
  • You must display the challenge graphic and link back to the challenge page to qualify for the prizes
  • You must comment on the entry before yours in the gallery ...... lets spread the love
  • And for an extra chance to win, comment on the challenge post AND the Designers Blog posts throughout the month.
Prizes ......
TWO (2) winners of a $25 Gift certificate .... randomly drawn from all the entries
ONE (1) winner of a $25 Gift Certificate ...... randomly drawn from all the comments left on the Designers Blogs throughout the month.

Shery is also offering a generous 10% (no coupon code needed) off all stamps, stencils and dies in the store from February through to April.
Go on .... why not play along.

So .... the theme for February is ..... PAINT IT RED
Create a project with a love theme .... or the colour red in it!

Now normally it would be the CAS Card Challenge for me so I've stuck with that and,  as it's February, it had to have a love theme for Valentine's Day,  and the red bit was easy

I've used the pretty CUTplorations Clustered Hearts Die ....... and cut it from, Pink and Red Glitter card and again from a beautiful matte Red Mirri card

I then cut the hearts from a piece of white cardstock and stamped the words underneath (from the STAMPlorations Pocket Blooms)

I then mixed and matched the various hearts from my coloured die cuts and inlaid them into the cut out in the white card ..... gorgeous!

Now it's your turn to join in the fun.  Create your project and link it to the challenge blog.  Follow the simple challenge rules and you could be one of our winners.

Happy stamping!

Thanks for popping by ..... enjoy the rest of your day.

I'm off to pack the last of the boxes ready for the move tomorrow.  Removal men arrive first thing and we should be in the new place by late afternoon ..... can't wait!

Cheerio until next time ....

TAG! You're it ......

Happy Tuesday ........

It's the 5th of December, and it's time for a festive tag for this months TAGplorations Challenge.

The theme this month is All About Christmas ...... with an optional twist of ....... Glitter!  A touch of sparkle is perfect for the festive season.

I've used Kraft card (again!) for the base of my tag, cut using the CUTplorations Tags #1 Nesting dies.
I edged the tag with a little bit of Pocket Fence Distress Ink and sprinkled a touch of Chunky White Embossing Powder

The word 'Merry' is from the Merry Christmas Phrase Die, cut from Kraft card, covered with Versamark ink and then heat embossed using red and sparkly green embossing powders.

The present is cut from snippets of leftover card using the Gift Builder #2 die and then layered

The pretty bow has an extra layer of plain white cardstock to add a little dimension

Now I just need to find a gift for this to go on!

Why not join in the fun and create your own Christmas tags.
You can enter as many projects as you want, just remember only 1 project per blog post please.
Your entry doesn't have to be a tag, it can be anything you like but it must feature a TAG ....... a card with a tag on it perhaps, or a journal/scrapbook page featuring a tag.
You don't have to use STAMPlorations products either ....... although it's great if you do!

There's been a little change to the challenge prizes this month, just for December.
To be in with a chance of winning all you need to do is .....

  • comment on the December TAGplorations challenge post AND the posts on the Design Team's Blogs for a chance to win a $15 Gift Certificate to spend in the STAMPlorations store
  • also, one randomly drawn player from all the challenge entries will win a $20 Gift Certificate
  • and 1 player, again randomly drawn from all the entries, will win their choice of a set of CUTplorations Tag Dies from the store
TAG! .... now it's your turn

Thanks for popping by ..... enjoy the rest of your day

Welcome to Autumn ......

Happy Friday folks ......

Summer is officially over ...... it's blowing a hooley out there!!
I'm still refusing to accept it though ....... we haven't been on our holiday yet! Only 2 more sleeps to go then hubby and I are off.
We're going to Croatia for a week, for a little rest and relaxation.  It's our first time visiting that part of the world so not sure what to expect.  I just hope there's still a little bit of sunshine left.

I'm NOT taking the laptop with me so there'll be no blogging I'm afraid.  Well ...... there might be, the MacBook is going with us so you never know ..... there won't be any craft though! (I'm looking forward to the break after this last week!)

It's been non stop in the old craft room, getting everything prepped ready for when I get back.
Yes it's going to be October when we get home ..... how scary is that!

I had one very important card to make this week ..... it this little munchkin's 7th birthday (where has that time gone!)

Hubby and I took him for a midweek birthday pizza, as we're going to be away for his big birthday bash with his friends at the weekend. We couldn't leave the restaurant until he'd had a yummy birthday surprise from the waiters.
I did find time to make him a card .......

Neat & Tangled's Ink Splat ......... stamped using various colours of Distress Oxides

Lots of sparkly 7's die cut from glitter card ..... some were coloured using Copic markers as the only coloured card I had was red!

A die cut sentiment, coloured and heat embossed with clear powder, and a few dots of white enamel accents to finish

He loved it! (Thank goodness)

Oh well ... must dash.  I haven't started on the packing yet ....... still washing and ironing in between finishing projects in the craft room.  I've still got all day tomorrow though ...... no need to panic just yet.

Thanks for popping by .... .enjoy your weekend and I'll see you when I get back .... in October!!!

Cheerio until next time .....

Time for another challenge ......

Happy Thursday ........

And a Happy New Year to all you STAMPlorations CAS challenge fans. It's time to get this years challenges underway.
As always the theme is Anything Goes ...... anything CAS that is, with an optional Colour Twist.
For January it's ........ SILVER or GRAY

I've gone for the SILVER option ..... with a little bit of heat embossing and some sparkly silver glitter card  ............ not the best combination to photograph though!

Very CAS ...... making the words the focal point.
Using Versamark ink I simply stamped one of the sayings from the STAMPlorations Power of Words stamp set, onto a piece of cardstock from my stash (previously coloured using Distress inks I think) and then heat embossed using a silver powder

This was then die cut into a circle along with a larger one cut from silver glitter card and then layered together using foam pads to add a touch of dimension

A few dots of glitter glue adds a little more interest to the design

Which colour twist will you choose?
Check out the STAMPlorations blog for all the challenge rules and details of the prizes up for grabs ..... you'll also find some fabulous inspiration on there too from the rest of the DT.

If you love the STAMPlorations range of products and you are inspired by any of my inspiration pieces, or you like any of the STAMPlorations products that I've used, then I have a little something for you.
When you place an order in the STAMPlorations store quote the following code and you will receive a 20%  discount on all STAMPlorations stamps, stencils and dies .......

use code .......... STAMPGIRLLINDA

This code can be used on all regular, and sale priced items throughout the store, so why not treat yourself to some new year stash.
Please note this code cannot be combined with other discount codes

Thanks for popping by .... enjoy the rest of your day.
I'm off into town now I've a few things to do, maybe check out what's left in the sales, and hopefully I can grab a quick coffee with Lauren.

Cheerio until next time
